In concert with the Pennsylvania Office of Advocacy and Reform, HEAL PA, United Way of Pennsylvania, and Collectively Rooted are working to help Pennsylvania residents become more trauma aware and have practical tools to identify and address the trauma in their world.
This educational series, offered on demand at your convenience, focuses on building trauma aware communities in Pennsylvania, and is free to all residents in the state and open to everyone for personal and professional growth. We invite you to join some of the world's leading experts on trauma to learn:
- Where and how trauma appears in our lives and communities
- What happens when we experience trauma
- The role of community in healing
- How we can heal ourselves and support healing in others
Our mission is to bring the community together, provide resources, and connect individuals and businesses to each other who are committed to building a trauma aware Pennsylvania. Anyone who participates in the series and completes the required exam will receive a certificate of completion and the ability to be listed in the Trauma Aware Community directory where Pennsylvania residents can search to find trauma aware resources.
To earn CE credit for your participation in this course, please read the following information to ensure that you are eligible. The cost is $30 for 7.5 CE credits. After your payment is received, please look for an email from Collectively Rooted with a link to complete your CE evaluation and quizzes.

Satisfactory Completion

State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 7.50 continuing education credits.

1. Explain what trauma is and how it impacts differently at different stages of development
2. Uncover negative beliefs, attitudes, and systemic barriers faced by historically marginalized communities
3. List bottom-up strategies to facilitate self-regulation, which is foundational to all aspects of addiction recovery and trauma recovery.
